Since the day in this picture was taken back in 2008 I have known that there are pike in the Saint George watershed. Since they are most likely here to stay and might grow to significant size I have been 
thinking that they might be something that my clients would be interested in fishing for.
Yesterday afternoon was cool and breezy with lots of sun. Argy and I launched the Lund Alaskan and made the first trip of 2013 through the stretch of river into Round Pond. It really was too chilly to linger but the first trip of the season is now behind us. Our most interesting sighting was a goose sitting on a nest on top of a beaver lodge making every effort to hide while right out in the open.
There have been some significant changes at Maine Outdoors this spring. Some planned some unplanned but all for the best. A new (to me) Toyota Sequoia for getting clients to the water and hauling the various trailers and boats. A nice upgrade but I am still figuring out how my system will fit into it. Storage for retail items in the summer and dog boxes for the fall all need to be figured out and set up.
