Late Fall is Beautiful

Late September and early October are dominated by the bright reds and yellows of the maples and poplars. After the middle of October those Rust and Gold of Late Octoberleaves have fallen and it is easy to overlook the second act. Later in the month the oaks and beeches turn a brilliant rusty red and gold. I spent a warm afternoon fishing for pickerel in Round Pond and as you can see the colors are still a show stopper.

October is here!

October in Maine is a postcard. Especially this first week of the month the leaves are brilliant and even more so on a wet cloudy day. When the Spectacular foliageweather is clear we have brilliant blue skies to set off the foliage. The secret is out that is for sure, I have only a couple of days open at the end of the month and nothing else.
