Mid summer report

As some of you know Brynna has helped out in the office and doing various chores here at Maine Outdoors for the last three summers. I asked her for her perspective on this summer and here are her thoughts.

These past couple weeks have been hot and humid, the type of weather that makes it hard to want to do anything besides drink a glass of ice tea and take a nap – or get out on the water.

Variety!

An interesting week here, fishing on fresh and saltwater. Stripers, mackerel, bass and even a few pickerel in the mix. I enjoy showing all of my clients parts of the area that they would never see on their own and enjoying being outdoors with their friends and family.

Summer Trout!

My summer is normally filled with bass, stripers, perch and mackerel. This young man wanted to go trout fishing; not my first choice mid-summer but I knew we might catch a few fish. Our day started off with a bang with brightly colored native brook trout taking almost every fly cast to them. The first few hours were magic with good numbers of fish coming to the canoe.
